FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Santa goes on Safari at Louisville Zoo
& Zoo Holiday Camp Registration

Tickets to the Louisville Zoo’s Santa’s Safari are on sale now at louisvillezoo.org. The popular annual holiday event will be held on December 7-8 and 14-15 at 10 a.m., Noon and 2 p.m. and includes the special holiday showing of The Polar Express 4-D Experience.  The Polar Express 4-D Experience runs through January 5, 2014.

Join Santa and some of his friends from the North Pole in the Gheens Room/Islands Pavilion as it becomes a festive holiday wonderland. Visit with Santa, Mrs. Claus, Frosty the Snowman and some of Santa’s favorite elves. Mrs. Claus provides holiday refreshments while families join in a sing-along of popular Christmas carols. Children are invited to create a take-home holiday keepsake plus visit with Santa for their complimentary photo.  Plus, families can let their Santa’s Safari Passport guide them along a discovery trail through the Zoo’s heated buildings for some special animal encounters.  Santa’s Safari stations provide guests with the opportunity to have one-on-one interactions with Zoo educators with biofacts and select outreach animals.

Special tickets are required and are ONLY available online. This is normally a sell-out event.

Tickets, which include all-day Zoo admission, are required for all attendees.  Louisville Zoo members receive a discount on these special event tickets.  For guests ages 3 and older, tickets are $15.95 for Louisville Zoo members and $20.95 for non-members.  For guests ages 3 and under, tickets are $8.50 for Louisville Zoo members and $11 for non-members
