MOMS RECEIVE FREE ZOO ADMISSION ON
MOTHER'S DAY THANKS TO
RESTURANTS OF KENTUCKIANA
Bring mom to celebrate her special day at the Louisville Zoo. Moms enter free on Mother’s Day, May 12, thanks to McDonald’s ® Restaurants of Kentuckiana.
Families can enjoy special zookeeper talks and a mom-centric scavenger hunt that will include the Zoo’s newest addition — our two and half month-old Zebra foal and mother Morena, along with giraffe Silvester and mother Malaika, and the three bongo babies Kibo, Mawenzi and Shira and mothers Nailah and Kaya. and Isabella. Learn how animal moms care for their offspring.
In the Islands, orangutan zookeepers will bring awareness to Missing Orangutan Mothers (M.O.M.) with keeper talks in the Islands at 10:15 a.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. The keepers will also have educational materials and displays in the Islands Dayroom. The local chapter of the American Association of Zoo Keepers (AAZK) will also be on hand.
McDonald’s ® will have a special giveaway for the first 500 mothers through the gate.
