Ice Age 4-D opens at Louisville Zoo

Louisville Zoo guests can immerse themselves in the hilarity of the Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs when it opens in the new multi-sensory 4-D Theater presented by Ford Motor Company in early March.

Guest will be able to “feel” the action in this 14 minute film. Sub-zero heroes, Manny, Ellie and Diego venture into a mysterious underground world after Sid the Sloth stumbles across three abandoned eggs and decides to raise them as his own.  Once the eggs hatch, the adventure begins in the lost world of the dinosaurs.  Viewed in eye-popping 3-D, the film features an all-star voice cast, including Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary and Queen Latifah.

The “Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs” 4-D experience was developed by SimEx-Iwerks and brings the action to life for theater-goers by breaking down the fourth wall and allowing the audience to feel like they are walking alongside Sid as he searches for his “babies.”

The 4-D Theater presented by Ford Motor Company will be open from 10:30 a.m. until 30 minutes before the Zoo closes. Individual 4-D Theater tickets are only available at the Zoo and will be $5 per person, $4 for Louisville Zoo Members and $3 for a same day second experience. Zoo admission is separate. 4-D Theater tickets can also be purchased at the Zoo or online as part of the Adventure Ticket which includes Zoo admission and select rides and attractions.
