Great American Date Nights
At The Zoo With WAKY
The Louisville Zoo and WAKY go classic in July for Great American Date Night at the Zoo! Two dates are set to celebrate classic cars, classic hits and classic films — the first will take place July 14 and features Caribou and the classic film American Graffiti and then again July 28 with The Headstones and Elvis Tribute artist Don Goodfleisch and the movie Viva Las Vegas.
Music begins at 7 p.m.in the Oasis Field, the movie begins at sundown. Zoo exhibits will be open until 8 p.m. as part of the Zoo’s extended Summer Twilight Hours in July (Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays).
The event is free with Zoo membership or admission. Guests may bring lawn chairs and blankets for seating. No tents or canopies allowed. No alcoholic beverages or glass bottles permitted. Concessions will be available.
