Hours of Operation

The Louisville Zoo is open daily year-round. 

Closed only on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Days. 

Mid-March to Labor Day: 
10 a.m. - 5 p.m. (stay until 6 p.m.)

Summer Twilight Hours: 
Thursdays - Saturdays in June* and July, 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. (stay until by 8 p.m.).
* excluding June 8

 

September to mid-March: 
10 a.m. - 4 p.m. (stay until 5 p.m.)

Elephant Program -
11 a.m. & 4 p.m.

Bear Training Demonstrations at Glacier Run -
11:15 a.m. & 2:30 p.m.

Giraffe Feeding -  11:30 a.m. & 2:30 p.m.

Gorilla Program - 2:30 p.m. 

HerpAquarium Program - 11 a.m. & 2:30 p.m.

Islands Program – 10:15 a.m. & 3 p.m.

Lorikeet Feeding - Continuously at Lorikeet Landing when the temperature is 50 degrees or above. Nectar may be purchased at the exhibit for $2 per cup.

Meerkat Enrichment - 3 p.m.

Seal & Sea Lions Training Demonstrations at Glacier Run – 10:30 a.m., 2 p.m. & 3:45 p.m.

Pygmy Hippo Program - 11:30 a.m.

Tiger Training at Etscorn Tiger Tundra - 11:45 a.m. & 3 p.m.
