Greater Louisville United Labor Picnic to
make
special donation to Louisville Zoo
WHAT:
Greater Louisville United Labor Picnic will make a special gift
presentation to the Louisville Zoo’s Zoo Kids Inc. program and
welcome 55 students from Crums Lane Elementary 4th grade class for
an “extra special” fun and educational Zoo experience.
WHEN: Monday, October 12 at 10 a.m.
WHERE: Louisville Zoo MetaZoo stage
(sign in and meet at the Zoo front office).
WHO: Greater Louisville United
Labor Picnic representative Chris Sanders, Louisville Zoo Assistant
Director Mark Zoeller, Greater Louisville United Labor Picnic
members and Crums Lane Elementary students.
WHY: Because every child deserves
the opportunity to learn in a fun, hands-on way, the Louisville Zoo
designed and developed Zoo Kids Inc. to provide at-risk and
disadvantaged children with an educational, fun-filled experience
that only the Louisville Zoo can give. The Greater Louisville United
Labor Picnic (a group of representatives of many labor unions) is
the longest, largest supporter of the Zoo Kids Inc. program having
contributed more than $20,000 since the program launched in 2005.
