Santa’s
Safari
Santa and North Pole friends make special visit to the Louisville Zoo
Santa and some of his North Pole friends are
planning to make an early visit to Louisville this year as they headline
the Zoo’s popular Santa’s Safari event on December 11-12 and 18-19.
This jolly party will transform the Zoo’s
Gheens Room in the Islands Pavilion into a festive holiday wonderland
and include a visit by Santa, his elves, Frosty the Snowman and more —
so be sure to bring a camera to capture some wonderful holiday memories.
A complimentary photo with Santa will be provided to each child.
Mrs. Claus will also make an appearance
delivering some tasty holiday refreshments for every guest including
milk (coffee for adults) and cookies. Each child will be invited to
participate in activities including creating a take-home holiday craft,
sing-a-longs and more. Plus families can chill out with the animals
letting their Safari passport guide them along a discovery trail through
the Zoo’s heated buildings for some special animal insights and
encounters. At each of the 10 Safari Stations guests will have
one-on-one interactions with Zoo animals and Zoo educators. The Safari
tour will finish up with cocoa in the MetaZoo Education Center where the
North Pole’s famous storyteller Holly Day will read aloud a popular
winter tale.
Special
