Pablo from Nickelodeon’s The Backyardigans headlines Louisville Zoo’s Aug. 21-23 events

Pablo, one of the stars of Nickelodeon’s popular TV show The Backyardigans, will be visiting the Louisville Zoo August 21-23.

Pablo is an imaginative, frenetic little penguin who’s a bit tightly wound. Pablo thinks, speaks, acts, and reacts quickly—but by no means is he a birdbrain. He’s always ready to help his backyard playmates as they explore the High Seas, the Frozen North, or the Wild West. He may not be the most agile or graceful of the friends, but he’s enthusiastic and determined. He’s one penguin who loves to play.‪ ‪

On Friday, August 21 from 5 to 7 p.m., Pablo will be hosting a Family Twilight Beach Party, presented by National City Now Part of PNC.  Join the Zoo crew for some splish-splashin’ summer fun at this one-of-a-kind event at Calistoga Splash Park at Glacier Run. And be sure to bring your camera, because Pablo will be available to have his photo taken with guests.

Admission to the Zoo is just $5 per person after 5 p.m. on Friday, August 21, compliments of National City Now Part of PNC. Members enter free as a benefit of their membership. Zoo exhibits are open until 8 p.m.

On Saturday and Sunday, August 22-23, the Zoo will host special meet and greets with Pablo from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the ZooVision Building. Be sure to bring your camera for unforgettable photos!

While here, also be sure to attend Zoo Keeper talks (see location and times at http://www.louisvillezoo.org/info/funthings.htm).

This event is free with Zoo admission. Members enter free as a benefit of their membership.
