Louisville Zoo welcomes new female gorilla

Louisville Zoo’s award-winning Gorilla Forest recently became home to 25-year-old female gorilla Kweli (pronounced “quay lee”), bringing the total number of gorillas to 12.

The Louisville Zoo lets you escape from your wild everyday life and enjoy the beauty of nature. Your visit also
helps support critical wildlife education and conservation programs.

Open daily year round
September - February:  10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
(exit by 5 p.m.)

March - Labor Day:  10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
(exit by 6 p.m.)

Open until 8 p.m. (exit by 9 p.m.)
Thursday, Fridays & Saturdays*
* Excludes Saturdays in July
