School Field Trips & Education Programs

The Louisville Zoo serves as a living classroom, helping students of all ages develop an appreciation for and sense of responsibility toward the treasure of animal and plant life on our earth.

The Zoo’s Education Department is staffed by professional educators who provide “hands-on”, “minds-on” experiences that are engaging as well as scientifically accurate. Adding an Education Program to your School Field Trip is the best option for your class. These programs are very popular and reservations should be made early.

Public Programs Camps & Classes for Individuals (not schools)

The Louisville Zoo offers a wide variety of programs for people of all ages.  Kids, families and even “adults only” will enjoy these wildlife adventures that truly make learning fun! These programs require advance registration.  For the latest schedule of programs, classes and camps and for details on NEW!
