Welcome to the
Backyard Action Hero Website
Presented by Toyota/Georgetown

What is a Backyard Action Hero?
A Backyard Action Hero (BAH) is a kid who is really into wildlife and
habitats and is ready to take
action to help protect them. A BAH cares
about
the animals and plants in his/her own backyard
and in other parts of
the world! The Louisville
Zoo is a really great place to learn all
about plants and animals.
About the
Backyard Action Hero Guidebook
The 2009-2010 Backyard Action Hero Guidebook is
called “Adventures in the Tundra.” It focuses on some of the harshest
ecosystems in the world! It also talks about some of the animals that live
there and the adaptations they’ve made in order to survive. Plus you’ll
learn a little bit about the cool exhibit the Zoo is building called Glacier
Run. So grab your mittens and strap on your chapka (that’s a hat) – and get
ready for another great eco-adventure with Alden, Skye, Tanya and Wade – the
Backyard Action Hero crew!
