Calling all exhibitors!
On April 26, Mayor Jerry Abramson and
the Louisville Zoo will be hosting a community Earth Day
celebration—Party for the Planet: The Mayor’s Community
Celebration of Earth Day.
Visitors will be able to learn about
the Zoo’s conservation efforts and caring for our planet through
environmental displays, activities and presentations. Special
discount admission for the day is just $1 per person!
Since this is a community celebration,
we are looking for community organizations with green and/or
sustainability initiatives to join the party by hosting a fun,
interactive booth about their organization from 10 a.m. to 2
p.m. Some organizations already confirmed are Bernheim Forest,
Jefferson County Soil & Water Conservation District, Kentucky
State Nature Preserves Commission, National Weather Service, US
Fish and Wildlife Service and more.
The deadline for registration is April
6. For more information and to register, please contact
Louisville Zoo Events Assistant Brent Bauscher at
brent.bauscher@louisvilleky.gov or call 502-238-5619.
Non-profit organizations can
participate free of charge and for-profit companies can
participate with a small fee.
